Picayune Carver Culture Center Youth Enrichment Program-YEP has been selected as one of the recipients of the Coast Electric Community Trust-Operation Round Up Program grants.
This grant in the amount of $10,000.00 was funded by the MEMBERS of Coast Electric through Operation Round Up and their Community Trust, in partnership with the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.

Welcome to the Picayune Carver Culture Center
For over 20 years, the Picayune Carver Culture Center has been a heartbeat of the African American community in Picayune, Mississippi. We are more than a museum — we are a living, breathing community center where youth discover their potential, seniors stay active, mothers receive support, and generations connect through shared history and shared purpose. Founded in 2004 to honor the legacy of George Washing Carver High School, we carry forward the spirit of excellence, pride, and community that defined that institution.

🎓 Youth Enrichment Program (Y.E.P.)
Mon – Thu | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Free after-school tutoring, STEAM activities, and mentorship for youth in Pearl River County. Partnered with MDHS and Rose of Sharon Resource Center.
👶 MILC Lactation Support
Every Thursday | 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Free peer support for new and expectant mothers. Contact: Desiree Richard-CLC | (601) 798-5250. Partner: MS MILC League of South MS.
🏛 Carver Museum & Cultural Exhibits
A living tribute to Carver High School and African American heritage in Pearl River County.
Open for scheduled visits, school groups, and special events.
